Position Overview
The Accounting, Tax & Audit Manager is responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, tax compliance, and external audit coordination for DataCT LLC. The role is the hands-on execution arm of the DataCT finance function and works closely with Deloitte Accounting & Tax during the transition period and with the in-house team as DataCT scales toward its full operating state in April 2027.
This is a high-rigor, controls-oriented role. The Accounting, Tax & Audit Manager maintains the general ledger, runs month-end close, coordinates tax filings, prepares audit deliverables, and supports the quarterly participant distributions produced by the Revenue Allocation System.
DataCT operates under the independence, governance, and transparency framework established in the CT Plan and the Administrator RFP. All staff are expected to uphold the independence of the Administrator function, avoid actual or perceived conflicts of interest, and support the governance reporting obligations of the Operating Committee of CT Plan LLC.
Core Responsibilities
General Ledger and Close
Own day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and close activities.
Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual close on cadence in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Maintain intercompany and related-party accounting hygiene, with attention to DataBP LLC related-party transactions.
Tax Compliance and Coordination
Coordinate U.S. federal, state (including New York), and local tax filings.
Support the DataCT C-corporation tax election and cross-border considerations associated with Vondelpark Capital BV (disregarded entity).
Partner with Deloitte Tax on complex positions, planning, and regulatory engagements.
External Audit and Control Documentation
Prepare and coordinate deliverables for SOC 1, SOC 2, and financial-statement audits.
Maintain SOX-aligned control documentation, walkthroughs, and test evidence.
Support independence certifications and related-party disclosures as required under the CT Plan governance framework.
Revenue Allocation Support and Financial Reporting
Support the Revenue Allocation System (RAS) close activities and quarterly participant-distribution calculations.
Contribute to the Board financial package and the CT Plan Operating Committee financial reporting package.
Accounts Payable and Subcontractor Payments
Process subcontractor invoices (DataBP LLC, Deloitte service lines, and others) with appropriate related-party controls.
Coordinate with the Controller on payment timing, cash forecasting, and vendor independence documentation.
Process Improvement and Transition
Document procedures and controls to enable transition from Deloitte-provided accounting to an in-house operating model by April 2027.
Identify automation and efficiency opportunities across close, tax, and audit workflows.
Key Performance Indicators
On-time close; reconciliation completeness.
Audit deliverable timeliness; zero material audit findings.
Tax filing timeliness and accuracy.
Related-party control effectiveness; independence documentation completeness.
Qualifications
Seven or more years in accounting, with meaningful exposure to regulated entities; CPA preferred.
Experience coordinating external audits and tax filings for multi-entity or regulated organizations.
Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX-style control documentation.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
Skills and Competencies
Detail-oriented execution; strong documentation discipline.
Clear written communication with auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
Process design for close, reconciliation, and audit readiness.
Analytical fluency with Excel and ERP tools.
Tools and Systems
ERP / general ledger (NetSuite, Workday Financials, or equivalent), tax preparation software, audit workpaper tools, Microsoft 365, BI (Power BI, Tableau).
Location Requirement
This position requires regular, in-person physical presence at DataCT's principal offices in New York City. DataCT's core staff, CT Plan stakeholders, SIP Processors, auditors, and principal service providers are concentrated in the New York metropolitan area, and on-site collaboration is essential to the Administrator function.
Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary Range - $110,000-130,000 (commensurate with experience, qualifications, skills, education, internal equity, and market data).
Eligible for performance-based incentives consistent with the role level.
Compensation is set in accordance with the DataCT Resourcing Experience and Expertise Classification Framework.

About DataCT
DataCT LLC is a Delaware limited liability company headquartered in New York, New York, formed as a single-purpose, independent, member-owned entity to serve as the Administrator of the U.S. Consolidated Tape Plan (the CT Plan). DataCT LLC is responsible for the unified administration of Tapes A, B, and C under the CT Plan, acting on behalf of CT Plan LLC under the Administrator mandate. DataCT is currently engaged under an Interim Services Agreement and is transitioning to the definitive Administrator Services Agreement with CT Plan LLC. The organization is building toward a full operating state of approximately 25 employees and is expected to be fully operational by April 2027.
